Obituary

Funeral services for Dolly D. Wright, 79, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Beard Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Homer Pacely, pastor, officiating. Burial will be Plainview Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Mrs. Wright died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, in University Medical Center in Lubbock. She ws born Feb. 5, 1923, in Atoka, Okla. She was a member of Beard Chapel Methodist Church where she was a past stewardess, trustee board member, missionary and superintendent of the Sunday School class. She also had worked as a nurse's aid at Plainview Hospital and was a beautician. On Feb. 14, 1944, she married Robert Lee Wright in Plainview. He died June 6, 1955. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Michelle Wright of Plainview; a brother, Ezell Bullock of Rock Island, Ill.; two sisters, Annie May Grayson of Amarillo and Elizabeth Bullock of Los Angeles, California; one granddaughter, Karen Ellis of Plainview; four stepgrandchildren, Lakeshia, Chaz, Jouric and Khaz Heads, all of Plainview; and two step-great-grandchildren, Z'keyah and Lanaija Heads, both of Plainview.
