Obituary

Funeral services for Brentod Eugene Wooley, 14, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Plainview with the Rev. David Gardner of Rehoboth Christian Worship Center officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Brentod went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Covenant Children's Hospital in Lubbock. Brentod Eugene Wooley was born Sept. 9, 1994, to Thifiney Coleman and Mark Wooley. He is survived by his parents, Thifiney Coleman of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Mark Wooley of Plainview; four brothers, Braiden Riddley and Bradley Coleman of Casa Grande, Ariz., Mark Wooley Jr. of Lubbock, Markeen Block of Amarillo; and two sisters, Marquay Wooley of Lubbock and Martrinae Wooley of Plainview; his grandmother, Sheila Nash of Plainview, with whom he lived and loved more than anything; grandfather, Tyrone Coleman of Plainview; great-grandmother, Bobbie Nash of Plainview; three uncles, Patrick Nash of Plainview, Nathan Nash and his wife, Bridget Hall, and Charlie Wooley; aunt, Shamman "Lucy" Wooley; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Francis Wooley, and great-grandparents, Carl and Bennie Faye Coleman and Curtis Nash Sr. Brentod was a student at Estacado Junior High School where he was an eighth grader and was on the A/B honor roll. He participated in football during school and has participated in the Plainview Little Dribblers Basketball program since was 5 years old. He made the All-Star team several times. Brentod gave his life to Christ on Sept. 21, 2008, at Rehoboth Christian Worship Center. He loved life, his friends and his family. He enjoyed video games, basketball and riding his bicycle all over town with his best friends, Kierra Roberts, Shaquille Harrison, Trey Riley and Mariah Willis. More than anything he liked hanging around with his brother, Braiden, doing things like swimming, dancing and playing basketball. Braiden wants everyone to know that he will miss Brentod a lot and he loves him very much. Pallbearers will be Kenon Uddley, Curtis Thompson Jr., Dustin Green, Blake Nash, Chris Davis and Markeen Block. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Johnson, Harold Uddley Jr., Aaron Smiley, Kirsten Green, Alec Willis, Marcus Willis Jr., Marquis Jackson, Terrence Springer, Avysh Hervey, Shaquille Harrison, Quavien Thomas, Willie "Trey" Riley, Traevon Williams, Keevon Richards, Shirmar Jennings and DaQwinlan "Bubba" Wiggins.
