Obituary

Funeral services for Norman Woods, 82, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bartley Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Lemons officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cementery by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Woods died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 10, 1924, in Cason to Gus and Minerva Woods. He married Virginia Fennell on Sept. 17, 1957, in Plainview. Mr. Woods worked for the railroads during the 1950s. He later worked for Missouri Beef Packers and Plainview ISD. He owned and operated two service stations in Plainview and worked at Gene Bumpus Service Station for several years. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert Woods and wife Mary of Plainview and Eric Woods and wife Felicia of Morton; two daughters, Catherine Rosborough and husband Grady of Long Beach, Calif., and Yolanda Brazier and husband David of Plainview; one sister, Berlene Green and husband Emmit of Plainview; 10 grandchildren, Brian Brazier and wife Rochelle and Christopher Brazier Sr. and wife Colette of Albuquerque, Joel Rosborough and Morgan Rosborough of Long Beach, Brandon Woods and wife Debra of Owatonna, Minn., Alexis Woods and Angelica Woods of Morton, and Stephanie Woods, Jefrye Woods and Krystofer Woods, all of Plainview; 12 great-grandchildren, Shari Rosborough and Shalor Rosborough of Long Beach, Brooklyn Woods, Javien Woods and Bria Brazier of Plainview, Dorian Woods, Kamrynn Woods and Cameron Woods of Owatonna, Minn., Doris Brazier of Las Cruces, N.M., and Toben Brazier, Christopher Brazier Jr., and Colexi Brazier of Albuquerque; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kevin Woods; one great-grandson, Jeffrey Taylor; and three brothers, James, Ernest and Milton Woods.
