Wilton ?Windy? Windwehen, 91, longtime Hereford resident, died Thursday, February 12, 2015 at King?s Manor Methodist Home, Westgate.
A Graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am, Monday, February 16, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Plainview, Texas. Rev. Dennis Latham, Chaplain for King?s manor Methodist Home will officiate.
A Memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm, in the Lamar Room at King?s Manor Methodist Home in Hereford. Rev Curtis Hallford of First Baptist Church, Woodlands, Texas, will officiate. All services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E 6th Street.
Windy was born March 25, 1923 in Gonzales, Texas, to Paul and Annie (Staton) Windwehen. He married the love of his life, Flo Dewey in 1942 in Cotton Center. Windy moved to Hereford in 2002 from Cotton Center. He was Methodist, member of the Woodsman of the World and the United Methodist Men. Windy enjoyed farming, spending time with family, fishing, reading, working on small engines (lawn mowers, tillers, etc.) and traveling to the mountains to fish.
Windy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Flo and 1 brother, Paul Windwehen.
Survivors include 1 son, Paul Windwehen of Canyon; 2 daughters, Sandra Todaro and husband Nick of Stafford, VA, April Coker and husband Donnie of Lazbuddie, Texas; 5 Grandchildren, Cody Sisco of Houston, Casey Sisco, Curtis Sisco, both of San Antonio, Trevor Coker of Cheyanne, Wyoming, Jodie Coker of Amarillo; 8 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
