Tulia, Texas ? Evelyn Williamson, 94, died February 5, 2013 in Tulia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview. A visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
Evelyn was born September 23, 1918 to Robert and Annie Borchardt of the Bellview Community, southeast of Plainview. She attended grammar school at Bellview and graduated from Plainview High School in 1935. She attended Lippert's Business School in Plainview and worked at the Plainview Rationing Board during World War II.
Evelyn married G.W. Williamson on March 24, 1945 when he returned from active duty in the European Theatre. They moved to Tulia and were engaged in farming. She later worked at the First National Bank in Tulia for a number of years. G.W. died July 12, 2002.
She is survived by two sons: Jerry Williamson and wife Joan of Granbury, Layne Williamson and wife Colene of Tulia, two daughters: Marilyn Brown and husband Wes of Ft. Scott, Kansas and Sharon Wahlin, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two sisters: Maurine Cornelius and husband Jimmy and Joan Borchardt, both of Plainview and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother: Robert Borchardt and one grandson: Quade Wesley Brown.
