Funeral services for F.W. Williamson, 89, of Tulia, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Jim Price, Kevin Naillieux and Darren Bryan officiating Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mr. Williamson died Friday, July 12, 2002, at his residence in Tulia. He was born May 5, 1913, in Eastland. He grew up in Lubbock County and graduated from County Line High School. He served with the Army National Guard in 1940 and saw service in the European Theater during World War II. After the war, he moved to Tulia and farmed in Swisher County until retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. On March 24, 1945, he married Evelyn Borchardt in Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Wahlin of Des Moines, Iowa and Marilyn Brown of Copeland, Kan.; two sons, Layne Williams of Tulia and Jerry Williamson of Granbury; a sister, Ethridge Massengill of Grand Falls; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Four brothers, three sisters and one grandson are deceased. The family suggests memorials to Hospice Hands of West Texas, 305 N. Main St., Lockney, TX 79241.
