Funeral services for J.W. ?Jack? Williams, 68, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Williams died at 11:12 p.m. Saturday, Jan 9, 1999, at his residence.

He was born May 27, 1930, in Hale Center. He grew up in the Plainview area and started in the trucking business with his father, S.W. Williams. He enlisted with the U.S. Army in 1951 and was discharged in 1953 and continued his trucking business, retiring in 1996.

He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

On Aug. 15, 1953, he married Geraldine ?Jerry? Schneider in Las Cruces, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; five sisters, Betty Tiffee of Amarillo, Geraldine Newman of Plainview, Neil Luper of Phoenix, Ariz., Patricia Kimberling and Carolyn Harold, both of Amarillo; and a grandson, Garrett Williams of Phoenix.

Two sons are deceased, Teddy Lee Williams died 1954 and Jay Dwayne Williams died in 1985.
