Obituary

Funeral services for Virginia B. "Babaya" Williams, 65, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in United Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Horn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home. Mrs. Williams died Monday, July 29, 2002, in Covenant Hospital Plainview. She was born Oct. 31, 1936, in Bartlett. She was a member of United Baptist Church and had worked at the Plainview Country Club for 30 years. On Oct. 31, 1962, she married Clyde Williams in Floydada. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Claudia Williams of Arlington, Thelma Lee Washington of Plainview and Delores Williams of Fort Worth; one brother, Elmore Brown of San Antonio; four sisters, Charlene Walker of Plainview, Beatrice Roberts of Riverside, Calif., Callie Mae Williams of Palm Springs, Calif., and Dorris Lynch of Anniston, Ala.; an uncle, Elmore Brown of Hillsboro; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Maxine Nash and Myradale Slusher, are deceased. The family will receive friends today from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
