Funeral services for Floy Bell Knowles Williams, 101, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Colquitt Nash, minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Williams died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, in Prairie House Living Center.
She was born June 10, 1902, on the family farm near Star in Mills County. She was the youngest of seven children.
She graduated from Star High School in 1921 and on Dec. 12, 1923, married Albert J. "Skinny" Williams at Star. They moved to Plainview in 1924. He died Nov. 24, 1994.
She had been a room mother at Lamar Elementary School and worked with the PTA activities and later the Plainview Band Carnival.
She was named Pioneer Woman of the Plains in May 1998 and attended the first Pioneer Round-Up in 1929 and all but one reunion since that time. She was honored with a reception on her 100th birthday in June 2002.
She was a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ and a longtime member of the Wednesday Morning Ladies' Bible Class until moving to Prairie House.
She enjoyed sewing and loved going to garage sales. She took her first plane ride on Southwest Airlines at age 94.
Survivors include her daugther and son-in-law, Emy and Bill Deardorf; a grandson and his wife, Bert and LaNelle Deardorf of Austin; and a sister-in-law, Udell Brown of Plainivew.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.
