Wilkins, Ed

Funeral services for Ed Wilkins, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Toby Huckabee, pastor of the Illinois Chapel Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Ark., officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral home.

Mr. Wilkens died at 1:45 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2000, in Covenant Hospital.

He was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Oklahoma City and Arthur City where he attended schools. He moved to the Bellview Community in 1943 and farmed until retiring in 1970. He was a Baptist.

On Nov. 18, 1941, he married Christine Sutton in Arthur City.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Wayne Fore of Plainview; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Debbie Wilkins of Plainview and Harold and Sue Wilkins of Gladewater; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Sue Wilkins of Los Angles, Cali.; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Eddie Weige of Dumas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Wanda Harris; a sister, Rosa Dean Abbott, and two brothers, Marion and Jesse Dean Wilkins, are deceased,
