Funeral Mass for Mary Ellen Wieber, 89, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. Wieber died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in WellStar Community Hospice in Austell, Ga.
She was born May 25, 1912, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She moved to Muleshoe in 1941and to Plainview that same year. In 1944, she moved to a farm north of Edmonson and farmed until retiring. She lived in Plainview before moving to Georgia in 1999.
She was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church and was involved with the annual turkey dinner and the altar society for many years. She was a longtime member of the Edmonson Extension Homemakers Association.
On Oct. 30, 1940, she married Andy Wieber in Idaho Falls. He is deceased.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Randy Roth of Woodstock, Ga., and Pam and Jim Terry of Rosenberg; two sisters, Kay Barker of Junction City, Kan., and Patty Heffernan of Granda Hills, Calif,; a brother, Jim Swarbrick of Oceanside, Calif.; and two grandsons, A.J. Terry of Temple and Steve Terry of Rosenberg.
The family suggests memorials to St. Alice Catholic Church organ fund.
