Memorial services for Mary Louise Widener, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Alvin Law and Ted Wilson officiating.

Her body was donated to the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.

Mrs. Widener died at 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, in Covenant Hospital Lubbock after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 19, 1929 in Plainview, the daughter of the late R.E. and Ollie B. Wilson of the Happy Union community. She was a graduate of Petersburg High School and Texas Tech University.

She married Jake Widener in 1948. He is deceased.

A homemaker, she moved to Plainview from Lockney in 1996.

Surviving include a son, David ?Ben? Widener of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers Elton Wilson of Plainview, Luke Wilson of Amarillo and James Wilson of New Mexico; two sisters, Daisy Law and Jeanie Mayo, both of Plainview; three grandchildren ? Erika Wassmer, Anthony and Angela Widener ? and two great-grandchildren.

A sister, Ella Faye Robertson of Amarillo, formerly of Plainview, and sister-in-law, Ann Wilson of Plainview, are deceased.
