Obituary

Funeral services for Paul Welch, 51, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Welch died Friday, April 27, 2012, in Lubbock. He was born April 5, 1961, in Jena, La., to Timothy and Dorothy Welch. He grew up in Spearman and graduated from Spearman High School in 1979. He attended West Texas State University and received a degree in technical theater. He was certified in computer drafting while living in Irving. He married Joanne Trajber on Jan. 25, 1997, in Irving. He had been working as a computer draftsman since 1993. He moved to Plainview in 2009 and was employed by Choice Industrial Construction. Survivors include his wife and a sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Matt Harrington of Amarillo. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 8008 Slide Rd. #12A, Lubbock, TX 79424.
