Obituary

Norma Lou Webb passed peacefully at home with the love of her life, James, by her side on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Jonathan Wright, her grandson-in-law, and Graddy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Visitation was from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at the funeral home. Norma was born Aug. 4, 1928, the sixth child born to John B and Della May Gaither. She moved to Plainview as a child from Carey, Texas, where she was born and attended school until she was 10 years old. She attended Plainview schools and graduated from Plainview High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, James Carter Webb, on July 31, 1947, in Tulia, Texas. They farmed and raised their children in the Plainview area. She was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ. Norma is survived by her husband, James Carter Webb of Plainview, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Claudia Webb and Johnny and Vicki Webb, all of Plainview; one brother, Clarence Gaither of Plainview; one sister, Nellie King of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Coy Webb, Cody Webb and his wife Erica, Colti Webb, Kristin Webb Wright and her husband Jonathan, Jason Webb and his wife Shay, and Nathan Webb; six great-grandchildren, Tanner Webb, Jaxon, Harper and Trinity Wright, and Rylee and Jess Webb; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
