Obituary

Larry R. Waugh passed away June 6, 2008, in Dallas. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Branch President Kay Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Waugh was born Oct. 31, 1952, in San Bernardino, Calif. He grew up in Yucaipa, Calif., where he attended schools, graduating from Yucaipa High School in 1970. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served four years. He was a truck driver for many years. He married Donna Marks on Jan. 24, 2004, in Chino, Calif. They moved to Plainview in March 2005. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Donna Waugh of Plainview; a daughter, Ammie Waugh of Plainview; two brothers, Danny Waugh of Linwood, Wash., and James Waugh of Arizona; one sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Jonnie Matus; and nieces, Michelle Marks, Brittnee Matus, Breanna Matus, Shawnie Matus, Angelina Matus, Kristina Thornton, Kassandra Thornton, Jennifer Prado, Raylee Mohammad and Adaria Mohammad.
