Watson, Elmer Richard

Funeral services for Elmer R. Watson, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson pastor officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mr. Watson died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 1999, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 19, 1920 in South Plains. He grew up in Plainview and attended Plainview schools. He was owner operator of Watson Brothers garage and a World War 11 veteran. He was a member of College Heights
Baptist Church.

On May 24, 1947, he married Joyce Langston in Plainview.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard N. Watson, Lenard Watson and Rodney Watson, all of Plainview; one daughter, Dawn McMillian of Plainview; one sister, Mary Louise Vorvour of Ocean Shores, Wash.; one brother, Eugene Watson of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Randy Johnson, Richard W. Watson, Mack Watson, Kirk Watson, Matt Watson and Ricky Watson.
