Watkins, Winston O., Mrs. (Ida Marjorie Edwards)

Petersburg ? Funeral services for Ida Marjorie Watkins, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in United Methodist Church in Salida, Colo. Arrangements are by Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Petersburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Watkins died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001

She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in ParkSprings. She lived in Folsom and Eunice, N.M., Petersburg and Salida, Colo. She received her college degree at age 54 and began a teaching career with homemaking and special needs students. She received ?Teacher of the year? twice and was a leader for the Girl Scouts and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

In 1936 she married Winston O. Watkins. He is deceased.

Survivors include a son, Winston ?Tony? Watkins Jr.; a daughter, Gerry Ann Adelmann; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Tommy Watkins, is deceased.

The family suggests memorials to the Angel of Shavano Hospice, United Methodist Church Building Fund or to a favorite charity in care of Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 925, Salida, Colo., 81201.
