Funeral services for Clay Randall Warren, 18, will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating, and Charlie Warren, pastor of Set Free Church of Birmingham, Ala. Assisting.
Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Warren died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born April 22, 1984, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He grew up and started pre-school in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School in 2002.
He played for the Bulldog football team for two years.
He was on the Hale County Junior Literacy Council and was an active member of the PHS A Capella Choir and of the Chamber Singers. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church youth group.
He received the 2002 Bob Hilburn Scholarship from the Plainview Kiwanis Club.
He was a student at Texas Tech University majoring in business administration and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.
Survivors include his parent, Mark and Freda Warren of Plainview; paternal grandmother, Helen Warren of Odessa and maternal grandparents Sam and Lillian Thompson of Plainview ; aunts and uncles, Shirley and Greg Lee of Arlington, Dale and Gayla Thompson of Amarillo, Stephanie Thompson of Plainview, Robert and Kathryn Warren and Kay Waggoner of Denver, Colo.; and Charlie and Durinda Warren of Birmingham, Ala.; and 13 cousins.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
