Waller, Willie Joe

Funeral services for Willie Joe Waller, 86, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Miles, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Stockton, officiating assisted by the Rev. Steve Martin, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mr. Walker died at 10:08 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2003, in Plainview Healthcare Center.

He was born July 29, 1916, in Red Oak.

He married Vera Thurman on Aug. 15, 1958, in Fort Stockton. Mr. Waller grew up in Fort Stockton and was an active member off the First Presbyterian Church of Fort Stockton where he served as a deacon for many years =. He also coached Little League Baseball and was active in the Junior Golf Program in Fort Stockton.

He moved to Plainview in 1999.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Joe Michael Waller of Plainview; one sister, Evelyn Williams of Landcaster; and three grandchildren, Kaylyn A. Waller, Ashley Jo Waller and Colton Joseph Waller.

The family suggests memorials to the Junior Golf Program of Fort Stockton.
