Funeral services for Ruth Waller, 91, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jack McClung, chaplain of Prairie House Living Center, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Waller died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2000, in Prairie House.

She was born Feb. 4, 1909, in Red River County. She grew up in Clarksville and moved to Plainview in 1952. She worked for the Hilton Hotel as a waitress, cook, head of housekeeping, and had made all the drapes for the hotel the last times drapes were made before it closed.

She was a Jehovah?s Witness.

On Dec. 18, 1923, she married Mike Waller. He died Dec. 7, 1975.

Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Pat and Charles R. King and Ellen Sally Curtis, all of Plainview, and Lorene Brown of Texarkana; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Margaret Ward, died in 1978, and a son, Hershel Lee Waller, died in 1988.
