Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Halfway, Texas. Brother Dick Hatfield and Brother Willis Blair will be officiating. Interment will follow at Center Plains Cemetery of Cotton Center. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at the funeral home.

Faye was born on February 16, 1926 in Hugo, Oklahoma to George and Dora (Clevenger) Phillips. She and Charlie Waide were married on July 27, 1944 in Dimmitt, Texas. Charlie preceded her in death on November 28, 2007.

Faye was a generous, good Christian woman who had great love for her family. She was a caretaker for the homebound, sitting with them and just taking good care of them. She ran the Green Frog Caf? in Hart for a short time. Faye loved to crochet, she was an excellent cook, and she would help provide food for meals at the church. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Halfway. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

Faye was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, and one great-great-grandson, Tanner.

She is survived by her family; son Bob Waide, of Halfway; daughters: Ollie Campbell and her husband, Dewayne, of Littlefield, and Pat Waide and her husband, David Guest, of Dalhart, Texas; grandchildren: Lanitia Talley, Christie Zingerman, Travis Barrett, Amy McDonald, Misty Daniel, and Cody Waide; great-grandchildren: Christopher, K'La, Keegean, Megan, Jake, Addison, Lillian, Kolt, and one great-grandchild on the way; and great-great-grandchildren: Christofer, Isaac, Zachary, and Jordan.
