Obituary
Funeral services for Charlie Waide, 87, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Halfway Baptist Church with the Rev. Dick Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Center Plains Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Home.
Mr. Waide died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at his residence. He was born April 22, 1920, in Earth to Joe Ed and Ollie Pearl Waide. He married Ruby Faye Phillips in Dimmitt on July 27, 1944. He was a self-employed scrap metal dealer and a member of Halfway Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters and one son-in-law, Ollie and Dewayne Campbell of Littlefield and Pat Waide of Dalhart; one son, Bob Waide of Tulia; one brother, Tom Waide of Montrose, Colo.; one sister, Mac Davis of Grants, N.M.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
