Wade, Delbert, Mrs. (Inez Cuevas)

ABERNATHY ? Funeral Mass for Inez Wade, 53, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Isidore Catholic Church with Msgr. Curtis Halfmann and the Rev. Louis Dussan officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in Abbey Chapel at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wade died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, in University Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Abernathy. She graduated from Abernathy High School and from Wayland Baptist University where she received her degree in elementary education. She taught school at South Plains, Plainview (Hillcrest Elementary for about 20 years) and Lubbock.

She was a member of the Texas Classroom Teacher?s Association and had worked with the Texas Department of Human Resources. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Isidore Catholic Church and the Abernathy community.

On March 8, 1980, she married Delbert Wade in Abernathy.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Crystal Wade of Abernathy; two brothers, Daniel and Bobby Cuevas, both of Abernathy; four sisters, Manuela Cuevas, Amanda Garcia and Mary Lopez, all of Abernathy and Janey Rodriguez of Allen; and her mother, Dominga Cuevas of Abernathy.
