Funeral services for Modesta A. "Minnie" Villarreal, 92, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lemons Funeral Chapel in Plainview. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Villarreal died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at her residence. She was born Feb. 24, 1917, to Juan and Paula Aguilar in Belton. She married Pedro Villarreal in 1930 in Odem. He died June 1, 1956. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista in Plainview. Her husband; three sons, Domingo Villarreal, Lucio Villarreal and the Rev. Pedro Villarreal; and four brothers and sisters are deceased. Survivors include one son, Sigkfred Villarreal of Fort Worth; three daughters, Arsenia Lopez of Lubbock, Beatrice Thomashide of Plainview and Diane Gonzales of Frederick, Okla.; one sister, Angelica Sambrano of Ennis; 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren
