Obituary

Funeral services for Manuel B. "Mr. V" Villarreal, 59, will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Arsenio Redula, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Lemons Funeral Chapel. Mr. Villarreal was born Dec. 25, 1948, in Weslaco to Feliciano and Rosa Villarreal. He was a driver for CapTrans and a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years. Survivors include his son, Jaime Noel Villarreal of Hart; his mother, Rosa Basaldua Garcia of Chandler, Ark.; three brothers, Felix B. Villarreal of Plainview, Edward B. Villarreal of Lompoc, Calif., and David B. Villarreal of Chandler, Ariz.; four sisters, Mary Lopez of Queen Creek, Ark., Helen Villarreal and Vida Romayor, both of Lompoc, Calif., and Margie Villarreal of Chandler, Ariz.; and two grandchildren. His father, Feliciano V. Villarreal, is deceased.
