Obituary

Funeral services for Virginia Chapa Villarreal, 76 of Plainview will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Virginia passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, in Plainview. She was born in Odem, Texas, to Christobal and Esperanza Chapa. She married Guadalupe Villarreal on April 25, 1959, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is survived by five daughters, Norma Espinoza and husband Jesse of Garland, Texas, Hilda Paredes and husband Nacho of Terrell, Texas, Christine Pena and husband Ronnie of Amarillo, Helen Villarreal and Curtis Travis of Odessa, and Nora Deleon and husband Fred of Plainview; two sons, Guadalupe Villarreal III and fianc?e Dora Mendez of Tulia, and Danny Villarreal and wife Mary of Dallas; two sisters, Olga Sarabia and Viola Esquivel; nine brothers, Ruben "Bill" Chapa, Alfredo "Sonny" Chapa, Albert Chapa, Robert "Beto" Chapa, George Chapa, Tony Chapa, Christobal Chapa, Mike Chapa and Jeff Chapa; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
