Obituary

Funeral services for Maria I. Villalon, 65, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God with the Rev. Vicente Villalon Jr. officiating and the Rev. Manuel Rodriguez assisting. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Villalon died Friday, March 16, 2012, in Plainview. She was born June 2, 1946, to Encarnacion and Cipriana Sepulveda in Pharr. She married Vicente Villalon Sr. on Dec. 23, 1962, in Floydada. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God. Survivors include her husband; her children, Vicente Jr. and Ruth Villalon of Post, Victor and Cynthia Villalon, Michael Villalon, Armando and Ilda Villalon and Daniel Villalon, all of Plainview, Arnulfo and Irma Villalon of Lubbock and Betty Avalos of San Marcos; six siblings, Pete Gonzalez of California, Josefina Galvan of Lockney, Guadalupe Enriquez of Kerrville, Joe Sepulveda of Kyle, Encarnacion Sepulveda of Lubbock and Santos Sepulveda of Minnesota; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
