Obituary
Hale Center - Funeral services for Carl Vick, 67, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Rowland, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Hale Center Cemetery by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home. Mr. Vick died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born on March 4, 1934, in View. He moved to Hale Center in 1951 from Winters. He was retired from West Builders Supply. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a former member of the Hale Center Jaycees and the Hale Center Volunteer Fire Department. On Nov. 18, 1951, he married Ann Carwile in Winters. Survivors include his wife; a son, Perry Vick of Hale Center; one daughter, Neisha Hunt of Amarillo; three grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be the American Heart Association.
