Vaughn, R. Howard, Mrs. (Marjorie Francis Arthur)

Funeral services for Marjorie Francis Vaughn, 89, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Roberson, pastor, and the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor of First Baptist Church in Tulia, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vaughn died at 10:17 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2001, in Covenant Hospital.

She was born Nov. 17, 1911, in Bosque County where she lived until moving to Plainview in 1926. She played basketball for Snyder Community School where she graduated from high school.

She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.

On Aug. 29, 1932, she married R. Howard Vaughn in Plainview. He died Sept. 17, 1988.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Clyde and Nancy Vaughn of Tulia and Dave ?Scooter? Vaughn of Brookshire; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five step grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
