Obituary

Funeral services for Roman Vasquez, Jr., 56, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with the the Rev. Celilio Ontiveros officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Vasquez died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, in Lubbock. He was born Jan. 20, 1952, in Raymondville, to Roman Vasquez Sr. and Maria Vasquez. He came to Plainview in 1978 and worked for several cotton gins in the area. He was a member of Apostolic Church of Plainview. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Vasquez of Plainview; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Julian and Irma Vasquez and Roman Vasquez III, all of Plainview, and Abraham Vasquez of Amarillo; two daughters, Sarah Vasquez and Anna Maria Vasquez, both of Plainview; one brother, Luis Vasquez of Plainview; two sisters, Rosa Baltierra of Robstown and Nimfa Luna of Canyon; his mother of Plainview and five grandchildren. His father, one brother and two sisters, are deceased.
