Obituary

Sarah M. Valdez-Perez, 28, of Plainview went to see the room that the Lord prepared for her in heaven on Sunday, January 2, 2012. Celebration service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig and Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Sarah was born June 11, 1983, to Raul and Angie Valdez in Plainview, Texas. She grew up in Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School. Sarah had many dreams, however, marrying John Emmanuel Perez on October 9, 2010, was by far the best dream come true for her. She filled Edgemere Elementary with laughter and her indescribable personality touched the lives of students, staff and parents. Sarah was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she worked with the youth in her high school days, again touching and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Sarah is survived by her husband, John Perez of Plainview, Texas; her prized possessions, daughter, Angelina Sophia Perez, and son, John Eleazar Perez; her parents, Raul and Angie Perez of Plainview, Texas; her grandparents, Julian and Pauline Aldaco; one sister, Monica and husband, Jesse Salas, of Plainview, Texas; one niece, Alexis Delgado; one nephew, Izik Michael Delgado; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
