Funeral services for Christina Michell Vagai-Vasquez, 42, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel with Garland Wade of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home. Mrs. Vagai-Vasquez died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born April 10, 1963, in St. Louis, Mo., to Ignasio Vargas and Sylvia Hunt. She moved to California in 1986 and to Plainview in 1993. She married Edward Vasquez on June 18, 1996, in Plainview. Survivors include her husband; one son, Joseph Michael Vagai of Plainview; one daughter, Sheena Vagai of Plainview; two stepsons, Edwardo Vasquez and Johnny Vasquez, both of Wichita, Kan.; five stepdaughters, Rosalinda Mason and Laura Granado, both of Emporia, Kan., Irene Johnson of Mt. Hope, Kan., Elizabeth Aldava of Turpin, Kan., and Antonia Trujillo of Tyrone, Kan.; her father, Ignasio Vargas of Kansas City, Mo.; her mother, Sylvia Hunt of Holden, Mo.; six brothers, Antonio M. Vargas and Ignasio Vargas Jr., both of Kansas City, Mo., Ryan Ross of Nebraska, Jason Foose of Holden, Mo., and Joe Sanchez and Robert Sanchez, both of Plainview; six sisters, Annalisa Vargas, Jerrica Vargas, Karla Ramos, Darlene Smith and Denise Ferguson, all of Kansas City, Mo., and Linda Cantu of Amarillo; and 23 grandchildren.
