A celebration of life service for Sharon Urban, 68, of Plainview will be held in September during the 50th reunion of the Plainview High School Class of 1961 in Red River, N.M. Sharon died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at her home in Plainview. She donated her body to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center for cancer research. Arrangements were by Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview. She was born Dec. 11, 1942, in Plainview to Margie Vaughn and Wheeler Vernon Urban. She married Garland Wolfington on June 29, 1962. They divorced in December 1968. She married Keith Modenbach Jan. 21, 1970. They divorced in 1975. She attended Plainview schools, graduating from Plainview High School in 1961. She majored in art and interior design at Mesa College in San Diego, Calif. She was a decorator and interior designer, as well as an artist, jewelry designer and craftsman. She moved back to Plainview in 2000. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Miles Anderson "Andy" and Tracy Wolfington of Schertz and Thomas Alex Modenbach of Stockton, Calif.; seven grandchildren, James Anderson Wolfington, Noah Anderson Wolfington and Vada Rae Wolfington, Aaron Anthony Gouthier and Crystal Ann Acevedo, all of Schertz, and Brooke Nadine Wolfington of Oppelo, Ark., and Catherine Elizabeth Brock of San Antonio; one great-grandchild, Brylee Elizabeth Brock of San Antonio; two sisters, Mary Margaret Lanford and Dixie Diane Lott, both of Dallas; a niece, Kimberly Diane Cozby and her husband, Jarod, of Lubbock; and nephews, Benjamin Neal Lott of Oceanside, Calif., Nicholas Ryan Lott of Dallas and Matthew Gregory Lott of Lubbock.
