Tyler, Clifton Leon

Memorial services for Clifton Leon Tyler, 50, of Springfield, Mo., former Plainview resident, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in New Covenant Church, 3300 Kokomo, with the Rev. Ron Brunson, pastor, officiating.

Private burial will be held later. Cremation was by Greenlawn Funeral Home of Springfield.

Mr. Tyler died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 2, 1952, in Modesto, Calif. He attended schools in Hale Center and worked as a painter and body man. He painted for Larson Manufacturing.

He lived in Alaska from 1984 to 1987, in Lubbock for one year and moved to Springfield in 1989.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include a daughter, Tessa Lynn Tyler of Springfield; his mother, Connie Tyler of Valley View; a sister, Linda Wilson of Montrose, Colo.; three brothers, Bill Tyler of Canyon, Kenneth Tyler of Valley View, and Steven Tyler of Soldotna, Alaska; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the church following services and suggests memorials be sent to his daughter, 1061 E. Battlefield, Apt. C 24, Springfield, MO 65807.
