Obituary

Memorial services for Violet Turk, 66, of Plainview will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Lemons Memorial Chapel with Elder Virgil Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Turk died Tuesday, July 19, 2011. She was born April 29, 1945, in Big Spring to William and Cynthia (Franks) Alexander. She married Auvis Kennon Turk on March 27, 1976, in DeSoto. She was a homemaker and worked as a secretary. She was a Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include her husband; three stepsons, Wesley Turk of Denton, Randy Turk of Crandall and James Turk of Gun Barrel City; one sister, Eugenia Swinger of Irving; eight nieces; and one cousin.
