Tucker, Richard Calvin, Mrs. (Mamie Rachel)

Funeral services for Mamie Tucker, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tucker died at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Illinois Bend.

She moved to Plainview in 1853 and worked as a nurse for 35 years.

She retired in 1985.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Pastor?s Class and a prayer group.

On April 4, 1969, she married Richard Tucker in Friona.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bobby Kernell and Kenny Kernell, both of Plainview; two stepsons, Phil Tucker of San Angelo and Jeff Tucker of Las Cruces, N.M.; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
