Obituary

Graveside services for Charles M. Tubb, 65, of Denison, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, former pastor of Parkview Baptist Church, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Mr. Tubb died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in the Texoma Medical Center. He was born July 22, 1937, in Plainview where he grew up and attended schools. He was a heavy equipment operator for Precinct 1 in Hale County for more than 35 years, retiring in 1998. He was a Baptist. On Sept. 19, 1987, he married Shirley Ilene Moore in Plainview. She died Oct. 9, 1996. Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn and Jack Williams of Lago Vista and Jackie and Billy King of Denison; two nieces; three nephews; five great-nieces; and three great-nephews. His parents, James Arthur and Zola Alice McMillan Tubb, are deceased. The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church, 601 W. Woodard St., Denison, TX 75020.
