Troedel, Willam, Mrs. (EmmaBelle (Belle) Laing)

Funeral services for EmmaBelle Laing "Belle" Troedel, 71, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Troedel died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

She was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Indianahoma, Okla., the daughter of the late Joe Bailey "J.B." and Sophia O. Neugebauer Laing. She graduated from Grandfield, Okla., High School where she played basketball and was a beauty on the homecoming court. She was an office medical assistant and an insurance specialist at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She later worked for First National Bank in Plainview where she retired in 1995.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority and Lamar Baptist Church Glory Choir in Wichita Falls. She enjoyed music and Muggins, her Bijon.

Her husband, William Troedel, is deceased.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James David and Susie Huffington, and a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Huffington and Kirby Hall, all of Wichita Falls; a brother, Carroll B. Laing of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Birgie McLain, Mildred Risinger and Jane Brents, all of Wichita Falls, and Evelyn Deshong of Fort Worth; and three stepchildren, Michael Troedel, Jackie Troedel and Vicki Moran.

The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, TX 77210-4486.
