Obituary
Funeral Mass for Mario H. Trevino, 75, was at 2 p.m. today in St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim McCartney, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Plainview Memorial Park by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Trevino died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Monterrey, Mexico to Ines and Aurora Trevino. He married Jacqueline Ann Crowell on Aug. 9, 1960, in El Paso. He grew up in Laredo, served in the U.S. Army, and moved to Bovina where he worked for Gateway Produce. Then he moved to Plainview where he was general manager of Walker Bros. Produce. He then worked for Spring Lake Potato Co., where he was manager and bookkeeper. He was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and William Crafton of Lubbock; two brothers, Bobby Trevino of Nevada and Fidel Trevino of Monterrey, Mexico; two sisters, Tobi Trevino of Laredo and Elsa Trevino of Monterrey, Mexico; one uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
