Obituary

Funeral services for Juanita D. Torres, 59, of Dumas, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Elim Worship Center with the Rev. Guadalupe Munoz and the Rev. Roger Munoz officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 6 tonight at the church, 1310 Galveston. Mrs. Torres died Friday, April 14, 2006, in BSA Hospital in Amarillo. Mrs. Torres was born June 26, 1946, in Del Rio to Jose and Altagracia Castillo Moncivais. She married Salvador Torres in June 1974 in Acuna, Mexico. Survivors include a son, Juan Castillo of Dallas; seven daughters, Rosa Jazzazi, Altagracia Castillo, Emily Quintana and Juanita Torres, all of Oklahoma City, Mary Esther Ogin of Del Rio, Connie DeLaTorre of Dumas and Patricia Torres of Plainview; one brother, Felipe Escobar of Plainview; two sisters, Mary Esther Amaya of Lockney and Geneva Armendariz of Wichita Falls; 34 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, Abelardo Castillo; a sister, Manuelita Chavez; and a brother, Alfredo Castillo, are deceased.
