Funeral services for Jesse Torres, 64, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Primera Iglesia Bautista with the Rev. Glenn Godsey, associate director of the Caprock-Plains Baptist Area, officiating Burial was in Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home. Mr. Torres died Friday, Oct. 28, 2005, in Covenant Health Systems in Lubbock. He was born July 28, 1941, in Ballinger. He moved to Plainview in 1948 where he lived most of his life. He was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista. Survivors include four daughters, Belen Torres, Beatrice Torres, Anna Maria Torres and Andrea Monkres, all of Plainview; his mother, Juana Ramos of Plainview; two brothers, Lucio Ramos and Manuel Ramos, both of Plainview; four sisters, Maria Ramos of Amarillo, Felipa Zepeda of Madison, Wis., Sulema Munoz of Austin and San Juana Estrada of Plainview; and seven grandchildren. His stepfather, Manuel Ramos; a sister, Norma Ramos; and his grandparents, Jose Angel and Augustina Torres, are deceased.
