Todd, Dennis Hubbard, Mrs. (Essie B.)

Funeral Services for Essie B. Todd, 81, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Foote, pastor, and Dennie Garner of Guner officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.

Mrs. Todd died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2001, in Praire House Living Center.

She was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Bokchito, Okla.

She moved to Plainview in 1953 and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

She had worked as a seamstress for Noel?s and Mr. T?s Cleaners. She retired in 1995.

On April 14, 1934, she married Dennis Hubbard Todd in Benington, Okla. He died in 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Frye, and Kaye Chaney, both of Plainview; three brothers, J.B. Abernathy of Chino, Calif., and Johnny Abernathy and Frankie Abernathy, both of California; two sisters, Dorothy Scott of Los Melinia, Calif., and Betty Steel of Sugar City, Idaho; seven grandchildren? and nine great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Family Hospice or to Northside Baptist Church.
