Funeral services for Elsie Tilley, 90, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lemons Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Robertson, Pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tilley died at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2003, at her residence.

She was born April 7, 1913, in Hoisington, Kan.

She was active in the Edmonson community, church and home demonstration club. She was 4-H leader and an active worker at the South Plains Fair.

Her hobbies were crocheting and gardening and she loved to cook and bake.

On Jan. 19, 1936, she married Arnold J. Duerksen and they farmed in the Edmonson community. He is deceased.

On July 31, 1975, she married Roy Tilley in Dickens County.

Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Marcia Duerksen of Lubbock; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores Duerksen and Dahl Clower of Amarillo and Elvera Duerksen and Charles Huff of Lubbock; a brother, Paul Stansel of Wakeeney, Kan.; a sister, Viola Herronamus of Wakeeney, Kan.; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Two brother, Robert and August Stensel; a sister Martha Mantz; and a granddaughter, Treva Clower Gillespie, are deceased.

The family suggest memorials to the Jerry Lewis Telethon-Muscular Dystrophy Association.
