Obituary

Paul Tijerina, 53, of Plainview passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 12, 2013, in Lemons Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park under the care of Lemons Funeral Home. He was born March 14, 1960, in San Antonio. Paul attended Plainview High School until he enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country overseas in Germany. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eulojio and Maria Tijerina. Paul is survived by his father Pablo Tijerina, one brother Robert Tijerina and two sisters Yolanda Ovalle and Diana Hernandez. He is also survived by a niece Jacqueline Esquivel; nephews Jacob, James, Jeremy Jimenez and Matthew Ovalle, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, and a special friend, Jessica Mercado.
