Obituary

Funeral services for Woodson E. Terrell, 90, of Kingsland, former Plainview resident, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church Chapel with Dr. Max Browning, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Terrell died at 7:07 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, in Kingsland Hills Nursing Home in Kingsland. He was born Sept. 6, 1911, in Hale County and grew up in the Bellview Community. He attended Bellview school and graduated from Plainview High School in 1930. He farmed in Lockney and Plainview and also ranched in Lampasas from 1961 to 1966. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. On Dec. 23, 1933, he married Willora Young in Lockney. She died Jan. 20, 1997. Survivors include two
daughters and one son-in-law, Clydene Oliver of San Saba and Judy and Robert Daniel of Highland Haven; one son, Jerry Terrell of Plainview; a sister, Adrienne Potts of Lampasas; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A son, Billy Earl Terrell; a son-in-law, Gordon Lee Oliver, and seven brothers and five sisters are deceased. The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, 1001 W. Seventh, Plainview, TX 79072 or to Cal Farley?s Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
