Obituary
Berwin "Jeff" Terrell passed from this world to his heavenly home on April 13, 2013, in Lubbock. As he slipped into Jesus' arms, we saw the light and smile of going "home." Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, at Bartley Funeral Home. Following a private family graveside burial service, a Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church of Plainview at 11 a.m. today, April 16, 2013. Dr. Tim Marrow will officiate the Celebration of Life service with the assistance of Danny Andrews. B.J. (Jeff) was born on Dec. 17, 1929, at home to Thomas Henry Terrell and Eula Aurelia Scott Terrell. Jeff graduated from Texas A&M University in June 1951 and married the love of his life, Rubye Oleta Edmonson. Jeff was quickly drafted to serve in Korea and returned as soon as he could to his beloved wife and baby girl. Jeff and Rubye moved to the Lone Star community in January 1959 where they farmed and made a home for their family for 25 years before moving to Plainview. Jeff was a voracious reader and a quick wit. He always had a good joke to share. Jeff had his "second birth" into the Lord's Kingdom at the age of 12. He was a lifelong Christian example to his family and friends. Jeff's life was one of devotion to God and to his family. His example of Christianity has left quite a legacy among us. Jeff was preceded in death by his father and mother, three brothers, one sister and one precious grandson, who are having a glorious family reunion with him in heaven. Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Rubye; three daughters, Sandy Watson of Hutto, Kay King of Denton, and Mitzi Lindsey with her husband Larry of Austin; and one son, Jeff Terrell with his wife Gay of Lockney. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with two more greats due this year. Words cannot express the legacy of love that this mighty man of God has left in the hearts and souls of his family and friends. His imprint is one of eternity.
