Obituary

Willie R. Teeter, 80, of Benton, Ark., formerly of Plainview, died in Saline Memorial Hospital of Benton, Ark., at 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2005, in First Baptist Church of Plainview with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Teeter was born on June 23, 1925, in Pottsville, Ark., to William Archie and Beryl Teeter. He married Ruby Rieff on July 14, 1950, in Hale Center, Texas. Willie was a World War II Navy veteran. He was chosen as Farmer of the Year and served on the cotton and grain co-op boards. He was an active and beloved member of the First Baptist Church in Hale Center for many years and finished his loving service in the First Baptist Church of Plainview. He is survived by his wife, Ruby; one son, Stanley Teeter and his wife, Brenda, of Hawkins, Texas; one daughter, Vicki Langley, and her husband, Jeff, of Bryant, Ark.; one brother, Billy Don Teeter, and one sister, Joyce Peggram, both of Hale Center; and three grandchildren, Brian Teeter of Benton, Ark., Adam Langley, and his wife, Kara, of Austin, Texas, and Sarah Langley of Bryant, Ark.
