Obituary

Billy Don Teeter, 79, of Hale Center died on Feb. 13, 2013, in Lubbock. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at First United Methodist Church in Hale Center with the Rev. Jimmy Cameron officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Billy Don was born Oct. 8, 1933, to William and Beryl Teeter in Liberty. He married Karen McBeth on Jan. 18, 2004, in Lewisville. He was a member and served on the administrative council at First United Methodist Church. He was a past president of Texas Flying Farmers. He participated in Life Gift Donation. He is survived by his wife Karen Teeter of Hale Center; one daughter, Dyana Ashcraft of LaPorte; one son, Gary Teeter and partner Dean Lowry of Houston; one sister, Joyce Peggram and husband Don of Hale Center; extended family members Jay McBeth and wife Jane Busby of Lewisville, Cynthia Hawkins and husband David of Coppell, and Amy Owen and husband Tim of Douglass; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.
