Obituary

Graveside services for Ollie Mae Taylor, 86, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Plainview Cemetery with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mrs. Taylor died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001 in Prairie House Living Center. She was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Knox City. She moved to Plainview and graduated from Plainview High School and attended Wayland Baptist College. She was a member of First Baptist Church. On Nov. 25, 1936, she married Roy Taylor in Plainview. He died Sept. 16, 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Carver of Abernathy; a son, Tommy Taylor of Houston; three grandsons, Jim Bob Carver of Amarillo, David Carver of Cotton Center and Matt Taylor of Dallas; and one great-grandchild, Owen Carver of Canyon. The family suggests memorials to the Jim Carver Memorial Scholarship Fund at American State Bank.
