Hale Center-- Funeral services for Paul Edward Tate, 79, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Bartley Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Plainview with the Rev. Bob O'Daniel, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home.
Mr. Tate died Friday, Nov. 22, 2003, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born March 29, 1924, in Walnut Ridge, Ark. He married Frances Wiley on Nov. 26, 1982, in Odessa.
He pastored Pentecostal churches in Arizona and Texas for 14 years. He served during WWII and moved to Hale Center from Odessa in 1994. He did maintainance for apartments.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Cox of Thomaston, GA.; two step-daughters and husbands, Debra and David Reed of Plainview and Sheila and Ricky Jimenez of Hale Center, one step-son and wife, Jerry and Robbie Hembree of Plainview; two granddaughters, Alisa Holberg of Marana, Ariz., and Christina Harrison of Thomaston, GA.; one grandson, Shawn Cox of Thomaston; seven step grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
